How much power can an off-grid wind and solar system deliver?

Our standard hybrid systems are sized for continuous loads between 5 W and 500 W, with battery autonomy of 3–7 days. For example, a typical offshore communications system built from three LE-v150 turbines, 1.64 kWp of solar and 8 x 200 Ah AGM batteries supports a 125 W continuous base load, 24 hours a day, year-round.

Do wind turbines survive extreme offshore conditions?

Yes. Our LE-v150 Storm turbine is engineered for sustained wind speeds above 27 m/s (60 mph) and salt-laden air. We have units operating 72 km offshore in the German North Sea, mounted on wind-farm platforms and serviced by our own GWO-certified technicians.

What happens on still, dark winter days?

Sizing is based on ERA5 reanalysis blended with Global Wind Atlas data, with deliberate safety factors. Where a site cannot be met by wind and solar alone, we add deep-cycle AGM storage and, if required, a methanol fuel cell as an automatic back-up generator with remote fuel-level telemetry.

Can I monitor an off-grid system remotely?

Every bespoke system can include our remote monitoring package. You get live visibility of state of charge, generation, load and fuel level from anywhere in the world, with alerts before a site is ever at risk of going dark.

Where are your systems manufactured?

All turbines, control systems and enclosures are designed, assembled and tested in our workshop at Pontrilas, Herefordshire, United Kingdom. Because we build every element in-house, we can support and repair systems for the whole of their service life.
