Leading Edge Power off-grid wind turbine in extreme environment

British Manufacturing & Engineering Excellence

Our Story

From a Herefordshire workshop to delivering continuous off-grid renewable energy on all seven continents.

Proven Field Experience

From Workshop Innovation to Global Impact.

Established in 2009 in Herefordshire, United Kingdom, Leading Edge Power design, manufacture, and integrate micro wind turbines, solar arrays, and autonomous hybrid power platforms built for extreme environmental stress.

Engineering Integrity

Built In-House for Absolute Reliability

Global industrial operators, telecommunications providers, and offshore contractors face a common challenge: site outages at un-grid-connected locations are costly and difficult to maintain. Off-grid installations require true component-level understanding.

Because every turbine, enclosure, control circuit, and monitoring protocol is developed by our in-house British engineering team, we deliver robust solutions validated for salt-spray exposure, polar temperatures, and sustained storm winds exceeding 27 m/s (60 mph).

Our Milestones

Sixteen Years of Off-Grid Innovation.

Key technical breakthroughs that established Leading Edge Power as an international industrial power supplier.

2009

Launch of the LE-300 Wind Turbine

After extensive prototype testing, Leading Edge Power commercialised the LE-300 horizontal-axis wind turbine. Engineered with low cut-in speeds and marine-grade coatings, it quickly gained adoption across global marine and telemetry sectors.

2011

Polar Deployment & Vertical Axis Innovation

The introduction of the LE-v50 vertical-axis turbine marked entry into extreme weather operation. Tested and operated continuously in Antarctic polar research stations, proving extreme climate resilience.

2016

Integrated Hybrid & Telemetry Power Systems

Responding to critical industry requirements for unattended sites, our engineering focus expanded from standalone generation to complete, integrated hybrid units combining solar, wind, deep-cycle storage, and intelligent remote telemetry.

2021

Expansion of Technical Capabilities & Engineering Team

Growing commercial demand from offshore wind farms, highway telemetry, and international telecom networks required expanding our Herefordshire technical staff, strengthening ISO-aligned manufacturing processes and international support services.
